# What is OMG?
OMG (Omega Network) is a decentralized cryptocurrency designed for mass adoption, enabling users to mine tokens directly from their mobile devices. Unlike traditional cryptocurrencies that require high computational power, OMG ensures accessibility for everyday users, making it one of the most inclusive digital assets. With a **total supply of 100 billion tokens**, 80 billion are allocated for public mining and distribution, while 20 billion are reserved for the core team and internal programs to ensure ongoing development and network security.
OMG operates on a secure and efficient blockchain infrastructure, leveraging a hybrid consensus mechanism that incorporates elements of **Proof of Stake (PoS)** and **community-based mining**.
